Your Life is His…the Facebook
As stated before, Zuckerberg was raised Jewish and is now strictly atheist.
This is a very good idea to stand up a watchdog to monitor Facebook, but I would lobby for something more secularized and perhaps all these religious articles would have more impact as one clear and concise essay. I mean, let’s get to the practical and social-psychological case for Facebook as a public health risk: the impact on the sanctity of old memories; the impact of the proliferation of shallow and superficial contacts at the expense of higher quality friendships and intimacies; the impact on marriages of spouses innocently (at first) reconnecting with old flames; the sense that people who really have no other use for FB maintaining FB accounts for no other reason than to keep tabs on their wives and make sure their names and marriages are visible to the wife’s friends. I have personally caught my wife in a FB flirtation with a friend she seldom sees and she admits it got out of hand but my understandable reaction cost her this man’s friendship. (When I learned he had a GF he was hiding from FB and my wife — on whom he had designs — and that this GF of his had cancer — I posted theprivate email thread to his wall from her account and also tracked down the GF).
